DEERSTALKERS HOLD AGM

The Waimarino Branch of the New Zealand Deerstalkers Association recently held their Annual General Meetingat Ruapehu College. New officers were elected, Graeme Brebner again accepting the job of President, Les Rowles was elected Vice President, Douglas Hogan junior Vice President, Brent Bishop Secretary/Treasurer and a steering committee of three other members — Kevin EJeadman, Chris Parkinson and Foti Ioannidis wpre also elected. A financial statement was presented and after raffles and possum shoots last year the club is in a sound

financial position. This allowed the subs to remain the same and should enable the club to be more active in the coming year. The next meeting is to be a Trophy and photo-judging night which will be held at 40 Shannon Street on the 6 June at 8pm. All trophies or any heads known to have been shot over the last year must be brought along, otherwise a 'fine' could be imposed. As club members had successful trips to Stewart Island, the Dobson Valley, Nelson Lakes as well as locally during the year this should be an interesting night. New members are always welcome.
