SENTENCED FOR ASSAULT ON CONSTABLE
Gordon Lewis Middlemiss, 35, formerly of Raetihi now Wanganui, appeared for sentence at Wanganui District court on conviction of threatening to . do grievous bodily harm to a policeman in Raetihi on 23 February. Previously Middlemiss had been convicted in the Ohakune District Court on
21 April ori a charge of threatening a constable with injury and assaulting a 13year old boy and had been remanded pending a probation report. Middlemiss was sentenced to 1 5 months probation and ordered to take counselling for his inability to control his temper.
