Under new management
Formerly from Iran, Mr Tony Mosaed has spent the past 25 years in Raetihi pursuing a career and keen interest in the wool export industry through his Rae-tihi-based company 'Waimarino Wools'. Sharing a common interest in skiing.Tony and Amanda Mosaed had known their friends Roy and Ann Turner of National Park for about 20 years until their tragic deaths last year. When the Roy Turner Ski Shop came onto the market late last year it was therefore no surpirse to. learn that their Raetihi friends bought the business and decided to continue running it while retaining the original name and all the former staff. So now the Mosaed family are about to enter their first winter ski season as owners of the Roy Turner Ski Shop in National Park with members of the family taking an active role. Apart from Tony and Amanda Mosaed 's involvement their 18-year old son Chris will also take an active interest. Chris, who left Ruapehu College earlier this year to ski in America, is a member of the New Zealand Ski Team and will bring valuable first-hand know-
ledge of his local and overseas skiing experience to the business. Fourteen-year old daughter Shirene, who also shows considerable ski racing potential still attends Ruapehu College and therefore won't be involved in the business except at weekends and during the school holidays. Their other daughter Auriel is married and lives in Wellington. Tony Mosaed was keen to retain the services of all those "members of the staff who had been employed by Roy Turner at the time of the tragedy last year. Among.these are Barbara Morris who managed the business following the accident and Arda Hanham. Newcomers to the Roy Turner Ski Shop this year will be a former employee of Ohakune's 'Ski Rack\ Mr Felix Tishhauser and his wife Lyn will live on the premises and also join the team. Felix, a nationalised New Zealander, a former member of the Swiss Racing Team and a coach of the New Zealand Women's Team for two years will offer a specialised service in the ski hire department.
