Pipiriki incident charges withdrawn

A man facing six charges, including two of allegedly raping and indecentfy assaulting a 1 6-year old girl at Pipiriki in March of this year, had all . the charges against him withdrawn when he appeared in the Wanganui District Court last Monday. Mangere Mongrel Mob member John Fuimaono, 22, had earlier pleaded guilty to all the charges when he appeared at the Ohakune and Wanganui District Courts. Sergeant D.H. Richardson said that all six charges against the accused had been withdrawn as another person had confessed to the offences. A fresh charge relating to the Pipiriki incident was laid against Fuimaono and he pleaded guilty to unlawfully entering a building from which $1554 worth of property was stolen. He was remanded until 1 1 June for a probation report and sentence and ordered to report to the Otahuhu police twice a week until then.
