CROSSCOUNTRY
The Ruapehu Primary Inter-Schools Cross Country event was held on Thursday 3 May in fine cool weather on Mr Jim Punch's property at Rangataua. The first five placegetters in each age group were as follows: (W=Waiouru, Rae= Raetihi, Oh=Ohakune, R= Rangataua, 0=Orautoha, N-Ngamatea.) Junior Girls: Paula Jones W, Anita Bent W, Rachel Pickery Oh, Janine Maru Rae, Rose Renata Rae. Junior Boys: Brendan Majoha W. Stephen Olds O, Trent Hill W, Taylor Brown R, Kerrin Burnelt W. Intermediate Girls Valmai Proebstel R, Veronica Hansen R, Raewyn Fox W, Pauline Tuku Rae, Virginia Grey W. Intermediate Boys: Pierre Todd Rae, Lee Robinson W, Guy Kennedy Oh, Glen Paris W, Brendan Morris N. Senior Girls: Cheryl Hinana Rae, Geraldine Timu W, Vanessa Roache Oh, Anna Chung Oh, Judith Berry Rae. Senior Boys: Simon Deighton Rae, Julian Davis Rae, Mark Evans R, George Hinana Rae, Jason Langdon Rae.
