OHAKUNE BOROUGH COUNCIL INTENTION TO MAKE RATES FOR THE YEAR ENDING 31st MARCH 1985 Notice is hereby given that the Ohakune Borough Council intends at an Ordinary Meeting to be held on the 21st of June 1984 at the Council Chambers, 15 Miro Street, Ohakune to make and levy the following rates fortheyearcommencing 1st April 1984and ending 31st March 1985. FIRSTLY: Pursuant to Section 175 of the Local Government Act 1974 a Consolidated Rate of 2.6151 cents in the $ on all rateable property in the Borough of Ohakune on the basis of land value such Consolidate Rates to comprise General Rate 1.9441 cents in the $ Catchment Rate 0.1209 cents in the $ Recreation Rate 0.3652 cents in the $ Staff Housing Rate 0.1 188 cents in the $ Sewerage Rate 0.0234 cents in the $ United Council Rate 0.0427 cents in the $ SECONDLY: A Uniform Annual General Charge under the provisions of Section 157A(a) of the Local Government Act 1974 of $80.00 on every separately rateable property within the Borough. THIRDLY: A Uniform Annual Water Charge under the provisions of Section 158.1 A of the Local Government Act 1974 of $30.00 for each separately occupied portion of any residential property and $80.00 for each separately occupied portion of any commercial property. Provided that in respect of any separately occupied property of which water can be but is not supplied the charge shall not exceed half the charge that would be payable in respect of the property. FOURTHLY: A Uniform Annual Refuse Charge under the provisions of Section 163 of the Local Government Act 1974 of $34.00 for every separately occupied portion of any residential property and $58.00 for all separately occupied commercial properties. AND NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT the above mentioned rates will be payable at theOffice of the Ohakune Borough Council, Miro Street, Ohakune during normal office hours on 30 July 1984 AND THAT an additional charge of 10% in terms of Section 71 of the Rating Act 1967 will be added to all Rates unpaid at the expiration of six months after the date on which the rates are due and payable. (This penalty will be imposed on all Rates unpaid after 31st January 1985) AND NOTICE is given that the Valuation Roll, Rates Records and Annual Estimatesfor the year ending 31 March 1984 are available and open for inspection during office hours at the Borough Council Offices, Miro Street, Ohakune.
