Fashion Parade

The Ohakune Kindergarten held a very successful 'Ski and Street Fashion Parade' at Pipers Kings Court last Wednesday. evening. The function and dinner which was attended by about 150 people, also included a video disco and displays by three young exponents of modern dancing. As a result of the evening's parade and entertainment more than $700 was raised by the Ohakune Kindergarten Association. Fashions were provided by the Sheepskin Shop, McGlynn's Fashions, Ragtime and the Junction Ski Shop which also organised the evening which was being held for the first time at Pipers Kings Court — the two previous functions were held at the Ohakune Club. The disco was provided by . Walter Sue; modern dance displays were performed by Raylene Sue, Cheree Young and Lisa Norling and Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Mike Wiggins.
