HOSPITAL MEETINGS

At last month's meeting of the Wanganui Hospital Board in Wanganui ond member of the board, Mr G.T.W. Butler, proposed that the board should consider holding some of its meetings at the various district hospitals, includiny the Waimarino Hospital ai Raetihi. He said this would give local residents a chance to attend and district hospital staff an opportunity to talk with the board and it's executive. Another member of the board, Mrs L. Noble, said that it would make it extremely difficult for the executive and board members to conduct these meetings up-country and Mr W.B. Hunt, another board member, said that district hospitals didn't have the facilities to cater for all the board members. The board felt that would suffice to rely on meetings to be held by the Works and Planning Committee at the district hospitals to keep them in touch with the board and its executive.
