Buyers from Wanganui, Taranaki and Feilding joined with a strong bench of local buyers in the bidding at the Raetihi saleyards on Thursday 22 March. There was a total clearance of the I'A year steers, 2XA year heifers and the bullocks on offer. Prices for the steers ranged from $350 up to $507

for 10 Simmental cross from T.C. Punch and $517 for 27 Santa Gertrudis from J.H. Windle. Best price in the 2XA year heifers was $370 for 24 Whiteheads from H. Godfrey while the lowest price was $324 for eight Angus. Thirty Hereford and Angus bullocks from W.R. Eaton sold for $586. Lowi^fcp price for eight Angus wt^^ $440.
