This bridge — No. 168 in New Zealand Railway terms — at Ohakune Junction, is due to be demolished and not replaced. The existing bridge crosses the Main Trunk Line some 200m east of the Ohakune Railway Station and carries much of the market garden produce from Soldiers Road. While the bridge itself is scheduled for oblivion some of the materials from the bridge, including a pre-cast concrete decking, will be incorporated in a new bridge which is to be built in place of bridge 167.
