Racing with BULLY

It is pleasing to see that Snow Lupton is not rushing Kiwi. The track at Awapuni was very heavy indeed and rather than ask his horse to race under these conditions he scratched Kiwi. Melbourne Cup is still a long way off, but this trainer knows what he is doing and I feel sure when November comes, barring accidents, Kiwi will be as fit as hands can make him. The punters got a hammering last weekend with the change to heavy going and now that we are almost into April I think it's time we started looking for change of season horses. Those that have been having a show of good form on the

firm tracks will now start to find things much harder. Watch out for those horses with a distinct liking for easy or soft going. I will endeavour to get a list of these horses for publication shortly. Over at Woodville Bridge Player is one who appreciates softer going and he has come on nicely-. At Awapuni the Southern contingent are all appreciating the rain and The Dimple, Dig In and Miles Better will pick up some handy expenses very shortly. Super Tai and Love Money are locals to stay with. From Levin it is

reported that Grant Searles team for winter racing is looking extremely keen. He has Cuss, Kar Dan and Mardel in 'wonderful trim and we all know their capabilities so kecp an eye out for these ones. Our man in the Waikato advises that the connections of Troubled Water and Wave Rider are all smiles after their charges have worked at Matamata recently. The former in particular has been recording wonderful times. Remember, Bully tips them first and you have read it in the Bulletin.
