Turoa Tumbler News
. AGM The Turoa Tumblers AGM and Enrolment night was held earlier this month. Eighty members were enrolled. Of these 44 were girls and 36 were boys. The following officers were elected: Dave Scott (Chairman), Pat Mcllroy (Secretary / Treasurer), Committee Members: Margaret
Billington, Pam Kennedy, Glenys Langdon, Dave and Janice Mcllroy, Margaret McLean, Rita Wise and Maureen Workman. Fundraising It was agreed that the cluh would run cake stalls in both Ohakune and Raetihi if possible on 12 April in order that the travel and equipment fund could be initiated. Combined with a Pig-in-the-
Barrow Raffle sometime, this should bring in enough funds to enable the club to help Warren Scott get to Hawaii in May as first priority. Warren's travel will cost $ 1 ,500 — he has already saved over $500 from holiday work and he has recently been donated $150 by the Wanganui-Manawatu Gymnastic Association which leaves $850 to raise.
