Swim gold to Waiouru boy
Anthony Farmer, 13, of Waiouru swam his way to a gold and silver medal at the New Zealand Junior Age Group Championships which were held in Papatoetoe late last month. Anthonv, who attends
Ruapehu College and swims with the Waiouru Amateur Swimming Club, gained a gold medal when he won the 100m Backstroke event in a time of lmin 15 sec. He won a silver medal in
the 200m Backstroke when he came second in a time of 2.41.2 while in the 100m Freestyle event he could only manage a 5th position ... but in an impressive time of 1.06.0.
