LIBRARY NEWS
The Library van visited the local libraries recently and an exchange of over 300 books was made. There is also a short-term loan of books on war and warhistory at present in the Library. These latter, 3month loans, are on particular subjects. If any clubs or individuals would like the Library. to have books on specific subjects please advise the librarian. If the demand seems good enough, a request will be made to the National Library Service in Palmerston North, which supplies the books. Books acquired recently for the Ohakune Library include: Second Generation
by Howard Fast, Days of Grace by Brenda Jagger, Death in Zanzibar by M.M. Kaye, Murder to Burn by Laurie Mantell. Non-fiction: Speaking a Silence by C. Hunt, The Exiles of Asbestos Cottage by Jim Henderson, Boots 'n' All by Andy Haden, Kennedy by Reg Gadney and Wild Life Rariger by Ken Francis.
