Farmers Trading appoints new manager

The Farmers Trading Company have appointed a new manager to take over the running of their Raetihi store in Seddon Street. He is 26 year old Geoff Pudney, formerly assistant manager at the large Shore Branch in Auckland, ^^aetihi is Geoff's first managerial appointment and he becomes the third youngest Farmer's manager in the country. Married to Carol and with an 18-month old daughter and another due in four weeks, Geoff sees his Raetihi appointment as an ideal opportunity to improve the selection of merchandise within the store. His immediate plans are to extend the choice of men's and women's clothing and to introduce a home appliance department. Geoff has been with Farmers for four years, beginning his career in the computer input section at Hobson Street branch in ^Hickland, then progressing through assistant management and finally into senior management. He believes that his new appointment is a challenging one and he is also aware that he has an excellent nucleus of staff to assist him.
