Scouts wanted

The first Ohakune Scout meeting for 1984, held on Wednesday 15 February, was poorly attended and prompted organisers to wonder at the interest in scouting. Held every Wednesday at the Scout Den in Lee Street, the Scouts are now under the able leadership of Alan Murdie. He is currently planning the activities ahead for the scouts and is already committed to taking those interested on a camp at Easter weekend. However, unless more boys of \0l/2 years old and over show more interest in joining the Scout Movement, the Ohakune branch could be forced to close down. (See Public Notices).
