"Down, doggie, down"
Mrs Pat Burns of Arawa Street Ohakune reports that she has had an 'amazing' response to a classified advertisement she had plaeed in the Bulletin recently ago to ascertain support for the formation of a local kennel club. Enquiries have come from Raetihi, Ohakune and Waiouru where, she suspects, there may be more dogs than people! Most of the enquiries she has received from dog owners have been about the availability of some obedience training classes. Because of the response shown, Mrs Burns has approached Graeme Cole ,of Ohakune and Kathy Francis of Raetihi who have both expressed interest in running obedience-training classes for other dog owners. Those wishing to have their dogs trained in obedience are asked to contact Mrs Pat Burns of Ohakune (see Bulletin #32 dated 31 January) so that a get-together of all dog owners can be arranged to discuss the formation of obedience training classes.
