A good attendance at the first 1984 meeting of the Ohakune branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers held at Mrsl; P. Jones' home on the I Ohakune / Waiouru Road I last month. Members enjoyed I welcoming back amongstl them Mrs Mclntosh and I Mrs Weir, both of whoml have been unable to attendl meetings for some months | past. As this meeting wasl concerned principally withl arranging the programrael and the fund raising effortl for the year no guest speakerl was sought. In view of the I recent flooding in thel Invercargill area it wasl agreed that a donation oll $100 be forwarded to thel relief organisers. On 7 February sixl members of the Ohakune! branch attended the Northl Wellington Province AGMl which was hosted by thel Rangiwaea branch at thel home of Mrs Henry Collier.B At the conclusion of thel meeting members enjoyed afl ramble through GordooB Collier's delightful andl interesting garden. j An invitation receivedB from the Kakatahi branch ofB W.D.F.F. to a luncheonatB Mrs P. Matthews' homeojB Fields Track on 20 FebruaryB was accepted with pleasureB by members able to attend. B
