Siggy says thanks
Siggy Bauer, whose next ultra-distance race is the 550 mile (880km) Melbourne to Sydney event in April, wishes to thank the people of the Waimarino for the help, encouragement and financial support he has received from them, Since he returned home to Raetihi from his epic 1000 mile run in Australia before Christmas he has received many indications of encouragement and moral support and he is still being congratulated 'almost every day' by people seeing him for the first time since his return.
"1 really feel I have the community spirit behind me," he said last week, and he wants people to know that he really appreciated their moral support and encouragement in this lonely, single-minded and demanding goal he has set himself.
