Delivery of the Wanganui region's new telephone directories began last week but it will be another 2-3 months before subscribers in Ohakune and Raetihi can expect t'o receive their copies of the 1 984 directory. This is because the new telephone exchange at

Ohakune is not due to come into service until April ... the distribution of the directory with it's new numbers is planned to coincide with the cutover from manual to automatic dialling at that time. The current directory was published in 1982.
