Sixty young dancers entertain
A Variety Recital of modern and classical dancing by pupils of Mrs Joy Wilson was staged in a packed Ohakune Primary School hall on Thursday evening 1 December. By common consent it was the most interesting and entertaining of any dancing displays seen in the Waimarino to date ... "the social event of the year" said some. At least 60 children aged between 5 and 13 took part. They were all from Ohakune, Raetihi and National Park with the exception of two who had travelled from Taihape with Mrs Joy Wilson. The two-hour programme included 35 separate items and was very professionally staged by the following: Mrs Colleen Norling (wardrobe mistress), Mr Bob Norling ^Husic and lighting), Mrs ^ffim Young (front-of-house) and Mrs Lyn Vernon (stage manager).
