Professional coach conducts tennis clinic

Andreas Hefti's International Sports School in Ohakune held its first Tennis Camp over the weekend 5-6 November at Ruapehu College. The weekend camp was conducted by Mr Allan Burns, holder of numerous national titles, Davis Cup captain in 1963 and now resident professional coach at the Stanley Street Courts in Auckland. Twelve pupils — ten boys and two gi'rls ranging in age from 12-17 took part. Waiouru, National Park and Ohakune each provided two pupils while Raetihi provided the remaining six. Coaching lessons were conducted on the College courts both on Saturday and Sunday with the exception of about two hours on Saturday afternoon when the weather forced the training sessions to be held indoors at the College and Community Gymnasium.
