Councillor declines invitation to provide red (!) carpet treatment
At last month's meeting of the Raetihi Borough Council it was suggested that the largest and most substantial councillor may like to lie down in front of the loader when it arrives to remove Raetihi's second police house and re-site it in
Ohakune. Cr Compton, while saying that everything possible should continue to be done to retain the second police house in Ohakune, declined the invitation saying that "there must be a better way!"
