Racing with BULLY

After the WeTribee Cup in Australia this.week, Fountaincourt has rocketed right to the top of Melbourne Cup discussipns and I will be sticking with him and Hayai to Quinella this year's race. As welfas the New Zealand horses being to the fore in Melbourne it is good also to say that at last Kiwi jockeys are right up with the best Australia can produce. It looks as though six New

Zealand jockeys will have mounts in this year's cup. It - is interesting too to see that the last Wellington Cup winner, Kiwi, has been flown to Melbourne solely for the big cup and his trainer, Mr Lupton, is very confident that his pride and joy will acquit himself extremely well. Jim Cassidy will be on top so there is another with a greaf show. Next Saturday, Napier Park will be holding their meeting at Hastings and be ready for Beready. Loughmore won well at Pahiatua and if started here could carry on with it. Reutemann is another Hastings' horse who could go well on his home course providing the going is reasonable. There is the possibility I believe that the locally owned Le Ana could be a starter in this

year's New Zealand Cup and if this is proceeded with it will, I am sure, generate a lot of local interest. Good luck to Ken George and Warwick Neumann. Northern horses to watch when next they step out are Enthrall, Elmar and Natural. I understand Northcote Express will start at Riccarton next and this fellow' looks to be extra good. The northern punters have had a hammering over recent years from Central Districts horses and another one could be coming up on Melbourne Cup day when Avondale puts on a very attractive programme. I refer to Bridge Player who is just waiting for the starter to say 'GO'. Remember Bully tips them first and you have read it in the Bulletin.
