Labour Weekend weddings

Hammond- Haitana A wedding breakfast was held for the bride and groom following the marriage of Teresa Haitana and Phillip Hammond at Raetihi on Saturday 22 October. The breakfast and reception were held in the Raetihi Hotel. Teresa is the third daughterof Judy and Henry Haitana and has lived in Raetihi all her life. For the past 3'A years she has worked for Boyd's Bookshop and will continue to do so for the time being. Phillip is the son of Gay and Ron Hammond of Tangiwai. He works as a loader-driver for Rural Air Services. The couple will live in Raetihi. Kui-Lockyer A wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Ohakune Club on Saturday 22 October for newlymarried Des Kui and Theresa Loekyer. Theresa, who came to the Waimarino eight years ago is originally from Mangakino but has also lived in Auckland. She is the second daughter of Mrs Val Loekyer, who now lives in Wanganui. Desmond is the third son of Mr and Mrs Keith Kui of Raetihi. He is a carpenter by trade and works for New . Zealand Railways at Ohakune. The couple will live in Ohakune.
