Rugby Club News

A letter was received by the Ohakune Borough Council from the Ohakune/ Karioi Rugby Club concerning their grounds and former clubhouse at Rochfort Fark. The writer of the letter stated that it was his understanding that the council would drain and culvert the entrance to the Rugby Club grounds and supply the materials for fencing the area so that club members could construct a fence using their own labour. The club also proposed to upgrade their former clubrooms to a training shed. At last month's meeting of the Ohakune Borough Council, it was decided to ask the club to submit details, by way of plans etc. of their proposal to upgrade the building before undertaking to assist with the supply of materials for fencing, drainage and culvert.
