Community radio for Waimarino proposed
Raetihi's former Mayor, Rev. Bob Feck, proposed a notice of motion at last month's meeting of the Wanganui United Council, inviting Radio New Zealand's operations manager to attend the November meeting of council to discuss the possibility of establishing a permanent 'communitytype' station in this area. This followed a discussion about the weakness of 2ZW's radio signal and its inability to weld the Wanganui United Council area into a regional identity. I
