Raetihi hosts visitors
Thirty two children from Standards 3 and 4 of Wilton School in Wellington spent last week as guests of Raetihi Frimary School. They arrived from Wellington last Monday and were billeted with families of Raetihi Frimary School pupils. On Tuesdaymorning the visitors received a Maori welco.me in the school hall when Standard One pupils performed a powhiri. This is a return visit for
one made to Wellington late last year by Standard 2 pupils from Raetihi. During their week-long stay in the Waimarino the Wilton School pupils visited the Milk Treatment Station in Raetihi, the Waiouru Museum, the Army Training Group, National Fark Headquarters, the Tokaanu Fower Scheme and a market garden. They returned to Wellington on Friday.
