• Council The final meeting of the present 3-vear Raetihi Borough Council was held in the council chambers last Wednesd.ay evening. Mayor Bob Feck and coun- - cillors lan Frameand Feter Arahanga werefarewelled. The new councillors will be sworn in on Monday 10 October. • Late night closing Raetihi businessmen have decided to make Thursday their late shopping night instead of Friday. From Thursday 20 October most shops will remain open until 8.30pm. • Law and Order Group The Law and Order group is working well. The roster has been organised and members of the group are already in action. • BMX Club Open Day The BMX Club is to hold an open day on Sunday 16 Octoberr on their track behind the showgrounds.
