Waimarino Mens Golf

On Saturday 24 September with 20 members playing at Pearce Fark on their opening day, only a very small field contested a stableford competition at the Waimarino Club. Best on the day were A. Berridge 38, G. Bryers 37. The only 2 was scored by A. Berridge. On Sunday 25 September there was a good field, excellent conditions and good scoring. Sertior F. Goldfinch 39, G. Bryers 38, R. Fearson 37. Junior J. Martin 44, R. Brown and M. Kennedy41, K. Wollett 40, J. Blackburn, D. Herewini, I. Strachan, T. Cranston all 39. A feature of this good scoring was that no twos were scored on nominated holes. Saturday 8 October is the day for the AHI Waimarino sponsored tournament. Nine holes at the AHI Alpine Village, lunch at the Waimarino Clubhouse, 18 holes at Waimarino followed by afternoon tea.
