Victorious gymnasts

This is the victorious New Zealand Central Region Under-I5 team of gymnasts that recently defeated two teams from Australia when they competed at the new Ruapehu College and Community Gymnasium in Ohakune. ^Br'hey are from left, back row: Michael Kane (Wellington); Mark Lister (Hawkes Bay/ Foverty Bay); Ross Eathorne (Wellington); Warren Scott (Turoa Tumblers/Ohakune). Front row: Iain McLeod (Taranaki); Michael Douglas (Hawkes Bay /Foverty Bay) and Michael Christie (Wellington). The two Australian teams — Green and Gold — were represented by two gymnasts from each State orTerritory of Australia except Tasmania. Turoa Tumbler, Warren Scott from Ohakune gained 4d place overall with a ^onal score of 53.5 ints, only .3 points behind the winner Mark Lister of

Hawkes Bay/ Foverty Bay who scored 53.8. Australia's top performer was Anthony Gianotti from Ferth in Western Australia with a score of 53.05. The finals scores were: New Zealand Central Region Under-1 5s 264.75 points; Australian Gold 253.95 and Australian Green 255.55.
