Movie & Music at Chateau

A North Island movie premiere will take place at the T Bar at THC Chateau Tongariro on Saturday 10 August. The 25 minute movie, "Beautiful Mountain" was filmed in both the North and South Islands and had its New Zealand and South Island premiere at Queenstown a couple of weeks ago. Music for the movie was written by Dave McArtney, one of New Zealand' s most

consistently successful songwriters over the past eight years. The film will be screened at 8pm on Saturday and Sunday nights as a lead-in to performances by the Pink Flamingos, McArtney' s own band. The Pink Flamingos will be playing old and new McArtney songs, plus a few old favourites from the Hello Sailor, Coup d'Etat and Legionnaires days.
