Pavement artist competition

Twehty one budding artists took part in the second annual pavement artist competition at Ohakune on Wednesday 31 August. Sponsored by the Bank of New Zealand, the children's work is on display on the footpath outside the bank's Ohakune premises. The paintings should last about a week before walkers and the weather wear them out. Winners: 4 years and under; 1st T. Bishop, 2nd Christopher Phillips. 5-8 years; lst Wayne Tumataroa, 2nd E. Thompson. 9-12 years; lst A. Hemara, 2nd Darren Norling.
