Missing girls found

Two nine-year old girls were located in the hills surrounding Waiouru about 9.30pm, on Monday 8 ^ugust. The girls had been ^Jssing since 5.30pm, and after an extensive search by about 40 soldiers from Waiouru, the girls were

heard yelling for help. ' Searchers said the girls had got lost in the dark and lost their sense of direction. They also said the two, who were only lightly clad, were lucky to be found before the cold could cause any serious exposure problem.
