Racing with Bully
Jean Rapier made the rest of the Grand National Hurdles field look quite inferior by the ease in which this prestige race was won. Remembering that he also won the Great Northern Hurdles as well confirms his class as a jumper. By the time you read this the Grand National Steeples will be over and
I am expecting Kirrason to win this. This week Foxton will be racing, and if Three Waves pays up he will be the one to be with. His performance at Hastings was very good indeed and Don Grubb is placing him very well. Retsina is a very good looking colt and could make the rest look to their laurels. Merv AnI drews trains him at Bulls and 1 up north Oakdale is still waiting for that heavy track and also watch for Ellenell. Saltash nearly pulled off a good one at Pukekohe and he generally holds his form well. It would pay to stay on side with him. From the Laurie Laxon stable, Le Coquin is looking a picture and will soon help pay the expenses. Remember, you read it in the Bulletin, and Bully tips them first.
