School holiday programme

Following a moderately successful children' s programe at Raetihi Public Library on a couple of days in the last Xmas holidays, another childrens programme is planned for the August school holidays. Librarian Margot Webb said she was prepared to organise something if there was enough interest from the community. "The last one I did consisted of a Teddy Bear's Picnic and the following week we had a favourite book session" said Mrs Webb. Both were well attended. Mrs Webb proposes a session between Ilam and midday on the first two Tuesdays of the school holidays. "However, it's a lot of work and not worth doing unless there is a reasonable amount of interest" she said. Interested parents or holidaymakers from anywhere in the Ruapehu region should contact Mrs Webb at Raetihi 's Public Library.
