Reminder to artists in the Waimarino

The closing date for entries in the annual Turoa (Ohakune) Art Awards is next Friday 12 August. The awards. which carry prizes of more than $1000 are sponsored by the Ohakune ^^orough Council, ^■anganui Savings Bank,

AHI Turoa Skifields, Junction Ski Shop, the Ohakune Promotions Association and the Bank of New Zealand. Considerable interest has already been shown said Mrs Bea Barnes but the exact number of entries won't

be known until next Friday. Prizes will be awarded at a preview at the Ohakune Club on the evening of Sunday 28 August and the exhibition will remain open to the public until Saturday 3 September.
