As anyone can plainly see there were at least two horses in town (Ohakune) last week! The horses were 'Scott' ridden by Karl Swanson (left) of Central Otago and 'Goldie' ridden by Jo Geddes of Auckland. Both horses and riders had started from Te Awamutu and were trekking through the North Island at a leisurely 15 miles-per-day before continuing their journey through the South Island. They expect to take 3 months to reach Central Otago.
