School holidays: The present term ends on Friday, August 19. Term three commences on Monday, September 5 and ends on Thursday, December 15. The 1984 school year for pupils commences on Tuesday, January 31. School Council: Accounts totalling $5118.12 were passed for payment. Mr Rob Taylor's resignation was received with regret; he is transferring to Mangere International Airport. Good progress is being made with the construction of walk-in cupboards in the multipurpose room. The P.T. Liaison Committee has
recently purchased and made new sets of handtowels ($263), hand-towel carrying bags and thirtyfive netball skirts for girls' teams ($200 approx.). People interested in serving on the School Council should contact the Chairman, Mr S.G. Stubbs or the School Office. There is one vacancy to fill now other vacancies will evitably occur throughout the remaining twenty-one months of this Council. Winter sports tournament: No tournament was held in 1982 but this year it is hoped to hold the customary tournament at Ohakune on September 16.
