Telstar launched

Reynolds Motors, Ford motor vehicle dealers of Raetihi and Ohakune launched the new Ford Telstar with a fanfare last week. Some 120 guests were present at the Raetihi showroom to be entertained with music and the "Reynolds Telstar Dancers". Those present were then ushered out onto the main street to witness the unveiling of the new vehicle. Flashing lights, music and more lovely ladies heralded the presentation of the vehicle which was then inspected, scrutinised and

generally pored over by many interested people. Designed to replace the Cortina car range, "Telstar is a car designed for the 1980's," said dealer principal Trevor Reynolds. "It replaces a car designed in the 1960's and therefore Telstar is a real state-of-the-

art motor car with sophisticated design and technological features that will carry it through into the 1990's" he said. "Interest is very high and on the night of the unveiling one of our fleet operators placed an order for 6 Telstars."
