Ruapehu Basketball Association
The open tournament held recently was a big sugcess. A mens and womens representative team was chosen from the open tournament and these two teams took part in the Central Plateau League played in Taumarunui. The following were selected. Men: Wally Mehana, Vince Pakinga, Chris Shem, Albert Taylor, Vaughn Taylor, Raymond Huriwaka. Women: Wendy Orsborn, Prue Kyle, Middy Watson, La Akapita, Sally Clarke, Bubs Hibbard.
The next Central League games are to be played on Saturday 30 July, and the Ruapehu Basketball Association will be hosting these games here. First game to start 9am.
