Waimarino Mens Golf
Mens - Sunday 17 July First round matches of Club Championships and McKay Cup saw a good turnout for the Championship matches, but a poor response for the McKay Cup. Top scores in the Seniors were S. Magee 66 nett, J. Summerhays 67, S. Swarbrick and B. Drinkwater 70. Two's were scored by G. Allerby on 17, J. Summerhays and M. Kennedy on 3. S. Magee collected the birds nest with two's on 9 and 14. Junior: K. Woollett 67, T. Cranston and K. Tapp 72. No two's' were scored by the Juniors. The Zones team of G. Allerby, S. Magee, R. Pearson and R. Southee scored a good 5-1 win over Castlecliff at Rangitira. This puts Waimarino into the semifinals of the Zones competition.
