Switzerland's National Day
Next Monday, is Switzerland's 'National Day.' August 1st is' traditionally celebrated in Europe with bon- . fires, fireworks and feasting to mark the year 1291 when the nucleus around which present day Switzerland was formed. With about 15 Swiss nationals 'wintering over' in Ohakune this year, celebratory activity in the vicinity of the new Swiss 'Grischuna' restaurant in Clyde Street is planned.
