RUAPEHU TOASTMISTRESSES

The new officers elected at the Ruapehu International Toastmistress Club's A.G.M. on 14 July are: President: Keitha Journeaux. Secretary/Treasurer: Valma Littlewood. Vice Pres.

Education: Margaret Horne. Vice Pres. Membership: Margaret Cornwall. Parliamentarian: Margo Webb. Historian: Gretchen Littlewood. Delegate: Helen Goldfinch. The other members are Fay Eves, Naomi Condon and Anne Greenwood. The meeting night has been changed to the second and fourth Thursdays at the Raetihi and Ohakune Schools respectively. The Club has several functions to attend in the near future. On Wednesday 27th members will be present at a luncheon meeting in Taihape. Officers from Council 8 will be taking a

workshop and holding diseussions. The Ruapehu Toastmistresses will join the Ruapehu Jaycees for a dinner meeting on 4 August. A social evening for the change-over of officers will be held at Mrs M. Horne's house on 13 August. The Club have interesting and enjoyable meetings at which any interested person is welcome to be present. Newcomers may attend three meetings before deciding whether or not to join. Toastmistress off|^^ opportunities to spe^^ before friends, and builds self-confidence in public speaking.
