Waimarino B.M.X. Club has elected Darcy Newson of Raetihi as president^and Jackie Collett of Ohakune as secretary. The club's track at the A & P Showgrounds in Raetihi is almost complete but winter weather will delay final completion until spring. Although the track can only take 4 competitors abreast at the moment, the club is going to hold a family open day on Sunday August 14th. Races, both fun and serious, will be held so that anyone, young or old, can try out the sport. The club is also having a fund-raising stall at Raetihi Primary School's flea market on July 23rd.
