Old building gets facelift for new tenants
Husband and wife team Graham and Maureen Parker, from Auckland, have been giving the old Jenco building in Ohakune 's Clyde Street, a long overdue facelift. Commissioned by John Sandford, publisher of the Waimarino Bulletin, to improve the appearance of the building, which now houses the Bulletin offi'ce and the Ohakune Promotions Association, they have used rough-sawn tanalised pine as a cladding material to cover the fibro weatherboard.
