Response
The chairman said he was considerably 'heartened' by the response and attendance at last week's monthly meeting. At the previous meeting in June — these meetings of the Waiouru Community Advisory Committee are held on the first Monday of every month — only 8 persons, including the chairman and secretary attended and there was no problem accommodating the group in the small day-room of the Community Health Centre. However at last week's meeting a total of 19 per-
sons turned up and crowded into the small day-room . . some sat on the floor. It was decided, in view of the response and to encourage even further interest, to hold next month's meeting — on Monday 1 August at 7.30pm — in the supper room of the Community Centre. It is hoped that by transferring the venue to the larger supper room more members of the. local community will come along and either participate in or at least observe how the Waiouru Community Advisory committee operates for the benefit of the whole community — military and civilian.
