Racing with BULLY

It was another good day's racing at Hastings on 25 June and some prospects for Trentham were seen furthering their preparation. Grey Warbler looks in superb condition and with a couple of solid races under

his belt, he should be cherry ripe for the winner's stall at Wellington. Retinere seems to have realised what hurdling is all about, so with Baraden here are two jumpers to stay on, side with. David Peake is slowly increasing his lead over Jim Cassidy in the jockey's premiership and looks a "good thing". This column is being written before the last day at Hawkes Bay, but irrespective of how they run there, two who could show out at Trentham on the flat are Solitaire and Sweet Nell. Vanity and Bijou Boy are

also getting nicely set. One to disappoint at Hawera was Ohwell. However I advise you to stay with him because I think he cculd yet pay a winning divvy. Evan Rayner pulled off another good one last week with Lord Raywood, and the way Speedy Girl raced at the Marton trials, he could notch himself another win soon. She won well there and local track watchers are waiting. For Trentham — Grey Warbler for the boys and for the ladies — Retinere. Bully tips them first — remember.
