New Waiouru - Wanganui Bus Service
Rangitikei Coach Lines of Taihape have extended their normal Taihape, Marton, Wanganui and return bus service to a twice weekly service from Waiouru on Mondays and Thursdays. Buses leave Waiouru at 7.40am on those days and return at about 6.40pm. The fare is $14 return for those passengers who wish to travel all the way to Wanganui but there are intermediate stops for which a separate fare structure and timetable will be available. Rangitikei Coach Lines
haVe applied to the licensing authority to run the service for a trial period in order to assess response and will increase the service as necessary to meet demand. Members of the Waiouru Cofnmunity Advisory Committee felt it was important that the Waiouru community knew about this service so that they could plan to shop or visit friends or attend hospital in Wanganui on those days when the service is operating. There are special concesion tickets for families.
