IJowever, a number of College hockey players travelled to Wanganui on Sunday to participate in a rep. tournament with Rangitikei, Wanganui and King Country. King Country was advised not to risk the roads, so a 2nd Wanganui team was mustered at 9.30am on Sunday morning to take their place. Also disappointing for the Secondary School team was the absence of a Rangitikei Schools team. * * * Ruapehu College pupils participating in the Senior and School teams were: Mary McCarthy, Thelma Berry, Eileen Berry, Linda Tapp, Wendy Palmer, Teresa McCarthy, Judy Kumeroa, Lisa Podjursky, Vicki Baker, Michelle Meyer, Raewyn Evans.
Results: Secondary Schools' team (Ruapehu & Taihape Colleges) v Wanganui A lost 5-1 (goal ~L. Tapp) v Wanganui B won 2-1 (goals W. Palmer, E. Berry).
